Man sets ablaze six youths in Ogun State for gambling

Six boys were set ablaze by a middle-aged man Tuesday night in Ago- Oko area of Abeokuta, capital of Ogun State, in western Nigeria.
A witness told P.M. News correspondent that the victims who were said to
be gamblers were in the compound of the man and despite all the warnings by the man, urging them to leave, they continued to gamble in the compound.
Attacked were Saburi Seteolu, Raheem Bello, Tunde Adesanya, Suleiman
Adebesin, Azeez Alabi and Kola Sodehinde.

Confirming the incident to  P.M. News correspondent today, Ogun
State Police Command spokesman, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi said, though,the police were trying to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident, “information available to us is that the suspect had
an argument with the youths before he poured PMS on them in Ago-Oko
area. And I can confirm to you that he is cooling his heels in our
custody now..
“For now, we cannot ascertain other circumstances that led to the
incident but we have the suspect in our custody and we are working
hard to untie what led to it”, he said.
Adejobi further stated that the State Police Commissioner, CP
Ikemefuna Okoye, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the
matter, adding that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as
investigation into the matter was concluded.
Four of the victims have been admitted at the emergency unit of the
State Hospital, Ijaiye Abeokuta while others were taken to an
undisclosed private hospitals around the area.
