An Open Letter To Yung6ix From D-Sam Igho

(4:36pm August 31, 2013) Today's a calm day in Warri Delta State due to the environmental sanitation that was just concluded few hours ago and it's also a party day where most people are either attending marriages or other ceremonies of other sorts. I used the opportunity do a little laundry and headed straight to work immediately after I had my bath. Reaching my workplace like it always looks like after an environmental sanitation, everywhere is scanty and you can easily here any little sound from afar. Haven't been able to update my blog ( www.dsamigho.blogspot.com) for several weeks now, I took to Laila Ikeji's blog to get some latest entertainment gists. After clicking into her site, the first news that caught my attention was the tweet by Young6ix claiming to be the best rapper in Nigeria on his twitter page or handler per say. I don't know the reasons he gave the tweet and I don't know if he was on his right mind before making the tweet. The Nigerian music industry right now has passed the stage of words. Just typing shits and posting it online won't make you a good artist. Artists like Wizkid and Olamide can attest to that. Maybe you were probably under the influence of alcohol before posting the tweet. I came to know you when you released your freertlyle on Oleku by Ice Prince which went viral in Warri and other places in Delta State. After that, you went ahead to release a song featuring Wizkid which also went viral here in Warri. You've since then done a couple of songs like Oh My Gosh which I like so much and also been featured by other artists on several songs. Back to your tweet which is the reason am typing this. I gonna say you still got a lot of work to do if your name is going to be well mentioned in the Nigerian music industry like Olamide, Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido. I remembered you started this music thing same time with Wizkid but right now you aren't close to his shoes. I know that both of you aren't doing the same genre of music but if you're good at the genre you choosed or love, you'll defintely go somewhere. I'm not criticizing you to pull you down but to wake you up. It seems you've been sleeping since you released that track with Wizkid. Check out a rapper like Olamide and see how consistent he has been since he entered the music game. He isn't proud like you but has achieved alot more than you in the rap game. You got the type of voice that's trending right now in the rap/hiphop game but you've not used it well enough. The big boys that's topping the rap game in Nigeria won't haven't even dared to say such but you did without proving it. Can you freestyle against the likes of M.I., Jesse Jagz, Illbliss... etc and win. Can you even contest with Olamide in the rap gameYung6ix.. You aren't even better than me (D-Sam Igho). You can't beat me in a freestyle challenge. If you think am joking, then invite me (dsamigho@ gmail.com) to any studio or you can reach me here in Warri, Delta State. I'm a Warri boy from Delta State (D-Sam Igho) whose your fan but belives you haven't done enough (maybe nothing) to merit any title like that. Please do your homework before raising your shoulders. >>>From D-Sam Igho (tweet @dsamigho) ( www.dsamigho.blogspot.co m)
